What is an Expert Advisor (EA)?

An Expert Advisor (EA) is a program that can automatically execute orders or assist trading on MT4/MT5 according to predefined rules.

 

An EA can:

- Monitor market prices and technical indicators

- Place buy and sell orders when configured conditions are met

- Set or modify Stop Loss and Take Profit

- Manage and close positions

- Provide trading signals or alerts

 

To use an EA, MT4/MT5 must be running on a PC or VPS with algorithmic trading enabled. EAs cannot be installed or run directly on the MT4/MT5 mobile apps.

 

Before using an EA:

- Remember that an EA does not guarantee profit.

- Market or connection conditions may produce unexpected results.

- Check third-party EAs for malware and errors.

- Test the EA thoroughly on a demo account before applying it to a live trading account.

- You are responsible for the EA's settings, operation and trading results.
